Spring is almost here

IMAG0237With spring just around the corner, new beginnings are in order. This winter was a bit rougher than normal in some regards. Vanessa switched day jobs, which—while better—was cause for some adjustment. Unfortunately, Dante’s grandfather passed away shortly after we released Exchanged. We’re not sharing this information so you feel sorry or bad for us, so please don’t feel bad!

The past few months have been a strange mix of good and bad news. We’ve welcomed new members into our families and said goodbyes to those who have left. We’re now ready to take a breath of fresh air and move forward. We should have some updates in the next few months that we’re excited to share with you.

Interview with Isis Souza

Our first author interview is live at Isis Souza’s Illustrawords blog. Isis created the cover art for Exchanged and had a few questions about our writing process and our plans for the future. If you’re curious how we got started and how we went about writing as an author duo, check out the interview, and feel free to poke around Isis’s blog to see the great work that she’s done for other authors while you’re there!

Share Your Thoughts (on Goodreads)

Thanks to everyone for sharing in our excitement at the release of Exchanged. It’s strange to think we sat down one year ago and began this journey. We’ve talked a LOT about ourselves and this process over the past few months, but we’d really like to hear from all of you. Whether it’s a personal message or a review, we’d like to hear your thoughts about our book (or anything else you’d like to comment on). Send your thoughts our way!

If you could take the time to leave a rating and/or review on Goodreads, we would appreciate it!

New year, new beginnings

The holidays are behind us, and the rest of the year is ahead. We’re so excited to be launching Exchanged at the end of the month. The full cover and preorder info will become available mid-month with the ebook officially available for purchase January 31. Paperback and hardcover editions will follow shortly thereafter, and we hope to have both of those available by February. Thanks to those of you who have supported us on this crazy journey, and for those of you just tuning in, we’re happy to have you!

Happy holidays!

It’s our hope that the next few days will be less crazy for you than they will be for us. Instead of making a New Year’s resolution, Dante likes to give out challenges. In this case, rather than resolving to make or break a habit, challenge yourself to do one thing you’ve been meaning to for ages but haven’t. (like writing a manuscript or an outline, perhaps.) Our challenge this year was to turn one of our outlines into a manuscript, which we did! For us, working toward an end goal helped us to track our progress throughout the year, which doubled as a great motivator when we made strides. Best of luck to all of you who challenge yourself!

November updates

November is over, our book is actually looking like a book, and cover art is on the way! Since we’re waiting for beta readers to get back to us, we actually have time to read (and Vanessa may already have begun writing another story). This season is great for staying warm indoors, and we’re making the most of it. We’re hoping to preview our premier book soon, possibly within two weeks! More updates to come soon.

NaNoWriMo progress

We’re now a little more than halfway through NaNoWriMo, but instead of writing a book in one month, we did things somewhat differently. We wrote a book over the course of the year and are editing it in one month. Sort of.

We’re so grateful to our beta readers who are taking the time to read through our manuscript between now and Christmas. Meanwhile, the book cover is coming along and is on schedule to be previewed around this time next month along with a release date for the book. Details are coming!

Welcome to SilvaMozes.com

SilvaMozes.com is live! Welcome, all. I am Dante Silva, and I’m joined by my wonderful co-author Vanessa Mozes. We’re both lovers of fantasy and strong characterization and steep ourselves in roleplaying and epic tales regularly.

Together, we write paranormal romance stories that we’re excited to share with all of you. We’re currently working on our first manuscript together, and hope to share more details with you as we continue the writing process. Until then, thanks for stopping by. We hope to see you again soon.
